The Pinot Noir Grape Varietal

Pinot Noir (also called Spätburgunder or Blauburgunder) is known as the king of red wines. Due to the large berries and thin skin, it produces very elegant and quite low-tannin wines. Traditionally, Pinot Noir wines are rust-red and slightly transparent. The taste is usually mild, velvety and aromatically complex with a long shelf life. The grape grows particularly well in cooler years.
