Schloss Gobelsburg Zöbing Riesling Kamptal DAC 2023, 0,75 L

The 2021 vintage was already Vinaria's award-winning wine in the Riesling up to 12.5% alcohol by volume category — and deservedly so, in our view! The new 2023 vintage lives up to this reputation, earning an impressive 93 points from Falstaff!

The Riesling terraces that surround the village of Zöbing are truly distinctive. The minerality of the primary rock and Permian soils imparts a classic character to Zöbing's Rieslings. The village gained national recognition primarily after the construction of the Heiligenstein Warte at the end of the 19th century.

Delicate notes of tangerine drift gently over the glass. On the palate, the wine is clear and bright, with ripe citrus flavours and a hint of fully ripened apricot, all complemented by lively acidity. It's concentrated yet lean, juicy, and vibrant. The finish is both pleasantly deep and refreshingly aromatic.

This crystal-clear, dry Riesling is well-balanced and a superb example of the variety.
