Description

After 24 months of ageing in new barrique barrels, this special French grape variety is already showing considerable charm, with the promise of a long life ahead.

On the nose, it offers nuances of dried plums and dark berry fruit with a delicate balsamic background. Black cherry confit, a touch of chocolate, juniper, fresh salty minerality, cedar, a hint of coconut, and tobacco notes all contribute to its complexity. The palate is opulent and intoxicating, with extract sweetness, malty and juicy dark berries, firm tannins, and mineral persistence. The bouquet is fascinating and multi-layered, with dense elegance. Ripe heart cherry, nougat, balanced delicate spice, and roasted notes lead to a warm, long-lasting finish with blackberries.
