We've been eagerly waiting to import a truly exciting Zinfandel from the USA, and with the Old Vines Zinfandel from Predator Wines, we've found a prime example. This wine is the epitome of what one expects from a classic Zinfandel: spicy, powerful, with enticing roasted notes and an abundance of red fruit that leaps from the glass.

On the palate, it's a small blockbuster. Powerful with very round tannins and a beautiful acidic structure, it offers delicate vanilla-like flavours from the oak ageing, juicy acidity, and characteristic liquorice notes typical of Zinfandel. If you want to experience the essence of American wine, this is the one for you.

However, don't be mistaken—this is a serious wine, crying out for a pairing with a burger or steak. While it can certainly mature for a few years, it's approaching its peak soon, characterised by the signature fruitiness that Zinfandel brings.
