Once again, Birgit Eichinger enchants with her wines. The latest vintage of Wechselberg 2023 has earned the prestigious title of Falstaff's Grüner Veltliner Grand Prix winner, scoring an impressive 94 points.

The majestic Wechselberg vineyard, situated on the eastern slopes of the Strassertal Valley and facing south, boasts soils of weathered crystalline rock from the Bohemian Massif or crystalline slate. Thanks to its elevation, Wechselberg benefits from cooler nights that temper the summer heat, allowing the grapes to develop complex flavours.

This Grüner Veltliner is a fine, aromatic classic, characterized by vegetal spiciness, refreshing minty and peppery coolness, and abundant ripe pomaceous fruit. On the palate, it displays a calm elegance, underpinned by subtle minerality. It strikes a perfect balance, offering a mouth-filling texture, vibrant acidity, and a lingering finish of notable length. Exceptional value for money!
