Azienda Renieri Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2019 Organic, 0,75 L

As is so often the case, small wines are more fun, just like this Rosso di Montalcino. If you don't know Renieri's Brunello, try the Rosso.

It's quite intense in the glass; dark red and very dense. On the nose, we find typical dark Sangiovese notes, known from Montalcino, with noticeable wood notes and vanilla, some currants and raspberries. The first impression grows quite nicely. Red fruits on the palate, with ripe but noticeable tannins, good, very pleasant acidity, gives the wine a nice drinkabilty. A really nice, very adult red wine that pairs well with poultry dishes, pizza and of course red meat.

We really recommend this wine, particularly as a way to explore the characteristics of Sangiovese from Montalcino without having to dig too deep into your pocket for Brunello.
