Description

The "Ein wildes Gläschen" wine series features natural wines with minimal intervention from Zahel's favourite vineyards. This exceptional Riesling hails from old vines in the Obere Schoß vineyard on Vienna's Nussberg.

Hand-picked and spontaneously fermented, this wine is unfiltered, unfined, and bottled with minimal sulphur. It matures for 8 months in used barrique barrels and Italian clay amphorae.

The wine is delicately cloudy with a relatively clear golden-green hue. Its aroma is distinctly Riesling, with ripe stone fruit notes immediately apparent. On the palate, it is super juicy with a complex acidity structure. The interplay of sweetness (7g residual sugar) and acidity is perfectly balanced. It's lively, easy to drink yet complex, with a long, satisfying finish that showcases its potential. This is truly a cinematic experience for the palate!

This Riesling pairs wonderfully with fish dishes and sushi or can be enjoyed on its own as a reward after a strenuous day.
