Weingut Wieninger Chardonnay Select 2018

A Chardonnay made in the international style that demonstrates what great wines can come from Vienna. And organic too!

It's not for nothing that Fritz Wieninger is called one of the best winemakers in Austria. These grapes grow on 25 to 40-year-old vines in the Bisamberg vineyard in Vienna and were meticulously selected by hand. After a good 15 months of storage in partly new barrique barrels and a little bottle ageing, the wine is slowly displaying its great ability and potential.

Light roasted aromas pair with the scent of apricots on the nose. It's complex & dense on the palate. Tender caramel meets exotic fruits. The fine acid structure ensures it slips down. Already easily accessible, but equipped with huge maturation and storage potential. Everything fits together perfectly!

A wonderful, multi-layered food accompaniment. We especially like it with mushroom dishes, meat in strong cream sauces, with game as a red wine substitute or simply as a reward after a hard day.
