This bold and expressive cuvée takes its name from Hungarian King Béla IV, under whose reign Deutschkreutz was first documented as a wine-growing region in 1245. A 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot—reminiscent of a classic Bordeaux—it is aged for 20 months in new barrique barrels. Naturally organic and hand-harvested, this wine delivers exceptional quality.

The nose is rich with dark wild berry aromas, hints of orange zest, balsamic nuances, and a touch of tobacco spice. On the palate, it is elegantly structured, dense, and juicy, with firm tannins and layers of complexity. Notes of chocolate and cherries linger on the finish, accompanied by fine wood spice. Still youthful yet built for longevity, this is already a true cult classic.
