Description

According to the wine law in Austria, the Ruster Ausbruch has been given the DAC classification since the 2017 vintage and is often referred to as liquid gold. It enabled Rust to get its town charter and a special status in the country.

An Ausbruch is a sweet dessert wine made from grapes affected by noble rot or botrytis. The weather sequence necessary for botrytis on grapes is based on the unique microclimate between the Rust hills and Lake Neusiedl. The cuvée consists of Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling grapes which are particularly suitable for sweet wines. After maturation, there is a concentration of tropical fruits and noble honey aromas along with lively acidity. Harmonious, elegant and with a very long, silky finish.

Excellent for storing.
Perfect for special celebrations. Pairs well with cheese or dessert.
