Description

The certified "Erste Lage" Rosenberg vineyard in Carnuntum is one of the best vineyards in the region. Walter Glatzer brings all the power and elegance of this renowned site into the bottle. And organic of course.

The red wine cuvee consists of Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Zweigelt. The wine was allowed to mature for a good 16 months in 50% new French barrique barrels.
Deep dark ruby-garnet colour in the glass. Aromas of wild berries, fresh wood with vanilla, tobacco and light cedar notes. Full and engaging on the palate. Every sip is carried by well-integrated tannins paired with dark berries, delicate chocolate notes and harmonious roasted flavours. The finish is long and warm with a delicately salty, mineral aftertaste.

Good ageing potential of 10-15 years. Pairs well with lamb, game and beef. Also delicious solo to round out an enjoyable evening.
