Tegernseerhof Weingut Mittelbach Riesling Bergdistel Smaragd 2019

A representative Wachau Riesling Smaragd that has twice been given 94 points and has a great price-benefit ratio!
As with the Grüner Veltliner Bergdistel, the grapes for this wine grow in the most beautiful individual sites in the Wachau. The lime-loving plant, Bergdistel (mountain thistle), is a symbol of the Weissenkirchner and Dürnsteiner vineyards.

Classically matured in steel tanks and stored on the fine lees for 9 months. A dry, medium-strong white that you'll want a second glass of and, at 13.0% ABV, appears very light-footed. Bell-clear, clean and typical Riesling with a lot of creaminess and well-supporting acidity. It's juicy, fruity like apricots, and shows peach with a touch of exoticism. Elegant and persistent, with every sip calling for the next. It is now ready to drink, but can still be stored for a good 10 -12 years.

For us a real price-performance miracle. This wine tastes like it costs a lot more. Pairs perfectly with fish and seafood, but everyone will love this wine on its own.
