Schloss Gobelsburg TRADITION Heritage Cuvée 10 JAHRE, 0,75 L

Schloss Gobelsburg Winery is celebrating its 850th anniversary with a special limited edition white wine cuvée from two different vintages.

What makes this wine unique is its production, which adheres entirely to traditional winemaking methods from the early 19th century. The grapes were crushed, pressed using a basket press, and fermented in an old wooden barrel. At regular intervals, the wine was drawn off from the fermentation, aerated, and separated from the yeast, allowing it to become clear after 10 years without filtration.

This special white wine, matured for over a decade, is crafted from 100% Grüner Veltliner grapes from the 2011 (90%) and 2010 (10%) vintages.

In the glass, it retains a youthful appearance with a bright golden-yellow hue. The aroma is exceptionally complex and fresh, featuring nutty spice, orange zest, quince, and almonds. On the palate, it is lively, dense, and long-lasting, showcasing a full body and minerality while maintaining an enjoyable drinking experience.

This strictly limited, well-matured white wine has now reached its ideal drinking maturity, yet it still holds great development potential for the next 10-15 years. We have immense respect for this achievement!
