Schloss Gobelsburg Brut Rosé, 0,75 L

After the white classic Brut Reserve, Schloss Gobelsburg has now brought this pale pink sparkling wine onto the market.

The traditional craftsmanship of vintners and cellar masters shape its fine character. The base wine comes from vineyards around the castle and is a blend of Pinot Noir, Zweigelt and St.Laurent. The grapes are picked by hand into small boxes at the right time and pressed immediately, but only the core is used for the base wine. After 6 months of barrel storage, it is bottled for the second fermentation. It was allowed to rest for 3 years on the yeast, which contributes to the creamy texture, until it was shaken by hand and disgorged.

Pale, delicate pink in the glass, fresh strawberries with some herbs fill the air. Flowery and refreshing on the palate. Mouth-filling pearls capture the palate and make for a big smile. Rather slim with a long citrus aftertaste, it glides down the palate. The invigorating acid immediately calls for a second sip.

A great sparkling wine that has been recognised as one of the best in Austria and is sure to enrich every celebration. Also pairs well with seafood and dishes with salmon!
