Description

The Sämling 88 white varietal (also known as the Scheurebe) is found rarely these days in Austria. This varietal with its very exotic aroma was bred by Georg Scheu in Germany back in 1916 and continues to be cultivated there today.

This gorgeous, young specimen is a prime example of Scheurebe and proves that it also belongs in Styria. Vineyard peaches on the nose are reflected on the palate with notes of grape. An intensely fruity wine with around 8g residual sugar, nuances of redcurrant and a rather mild acidity. Light, juicy and a little sparkling on the finish. A very aromatic wine that pairs well with pumpkin dishes, snacks and smoked trout
