The "Alte Reben" Blaufränkisch comes from the oldest vines in the Alte Weingebirge (old vineyards) in Deutschkreutz. Planted generations ago, they are a highly valued treasure today. Not only are the grapes smaller, richer, more intense and finer, thevines have also adapted to the natural conditions over time. Beneath a sandy clay layer lies a limestone plateau, which gives the wine its elegant texture and finesse.

This limited-edition Blaufränkisch is multi-faceted with intense depth. Despite the low yield, the grapes were carefully selected and harvested by hand. The mash was fermented in open small barrels with manual punching down. The wine was then aged for almost four years in oak barrels from Manhartsberg. Just as it was done for generations - minimalist and from the gut. Charming but not flattering, playful but not kitschy, with great depth but not serious. Elegant, lively and multi-layered. "Alte Reben" combines texture, ripe fruit and the features of its origin and promises great ageing potential.
