Gernot Heinrich impressed us with this iconic, highly rated red wine cuvee from the very first sip. Prominent wine critics such as Falstaff, A la Carte, etc. regularly award the highest point rating for this red wine cuvee. The "Gabarinza" takes its name from the best and oldest hillside vineyard in Gols. The hand-picked cuvée consists of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Merlot. It owes its excellent ageing potential to its delicate tannins, diverse flavours and beautifully balanced acidity structure.

After 28 months in used 500-litre oak barrels, the wine is still young. After allowing it to breathe a little in the glass, it presents in a deep dark ruby-garnet colour with violet reflections. Attractive and multi-faceted on the nose with a hint of blackberries. Juicy and powerful, yet elegant on the palate, with well-integrated tannins. Dense and full-bodied. This fine wine can be stored for another 15 years or more for sure, but who wants to wait that long?
