Description

The village of Klöch in the Styrian volcanic region is famous throughout Europe for its Traminer grapes. The intense fruit aroma, rather low acidity and scent of roses are typical of the varietal.

After ageing in steel tanks, this Gewürztraminer was bottled semi-dry with around 10g of residual sugar. The wine needs this to show its intense fruit aromas at their best. It's enormously juicy with a scent of rose oil and yellow, ripe peaches. The fine fruit sweetness is harmonious and never intrusive. Tropical fruits mix with blossom honey in the smooth aftertaste.

A wine that shows how beautiful this grape can be. Perfect for casual wine drinkers and wonderful with hearty cheeses, hotter Asian dishes or light desserts.
