Description
Rosé champagne in a class of its own - with red wine from the Grand Cru municipality of Bouzy and Pinot Noir grapes. Bouzy is known for its particularly storable champagnes alongside still wine, a combination that has become very rare in Champagne.
Great, quite strong colour in the glass, and the Pinot Noir aromas really come through despite comprising only 7%. Red berries, some strawberries, and very mineral with hints of brioche. Firm and very nicely structured on the palate, great acidity, slightly salty, very fine perlage. Quite powerful - drink it with dark meat, especially game.
We definitely recommend using a large glass and not serving the champagne too cold. Air is also good for it to allow it to develop the flavours.
