Description
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is one of the most popular Italian reds. A sip of this Indio makes it immediately clear why it's so beloved.
The wine is dense, with a ruby red colour and violet reflections. There's a lot of fruit on the nose, with plums, amarena cherries and a hint of liquorice, along with vanilla and some nice spice.
On the palate, it's a classic "mouth full of wine" - dense and full-bodied, with lots of coffee and chocolate notes, spices, very pleasant acidity and ripe tannins. Very round and pleasant in the finish; elegant and long-lasting.
A great accompaniment to food or fun poured into a large glass and savoured with friends. A beautiful wine that offers great value for money - exactly what we're always looking for.
