Weingut Allram's south-facing Riesling vineyards are located on what is probably the best-known site in the Kamptal, the Heiligenstein. At 270 million years old (Permian age), the vineyard is one of the geologically oldest formations in this area. A symbiosis of desert sandstone and volcanic components makes the land perfect for vines. Between the vineyards, you can find fauna and flora that otherwise only thrive in a Mediterranean climate. On painstakingly preserved stone terraces, a combination of soil, orientation, microclimate and care from the winemaker creates extraordinary Rieslings.

This still-young wine is considered by many wine industry professionals to be among the best of its kind in Austria. We find flint and subtle floral notes on the nose and wonderful fruit development on the palate. It's smoky, stony and chalky, with stone fruit, citrus zest and fine herbal notes. Everything is compact and finely interwoven, showing a jangling acid structure, carried by the brilliant minerality that's typical for Heiligenstein. Rich in finesse, juicy and extremely sweet.
