Roman Pfaffl wanted to create a Chardonnay that could compete with the world's best but still reflect his Austrian homeland!

And he certainly achieved his goal! It was winner of the Best White Wine in Austria and was awarded a gold medal by Mundus Vini. Along with a whopping 95 points by Falstaff. Completely justified, in our opinion.

The grapes grow on a south-facing slope with sandy loess soil. The nearby forest provides the necessary freshness on cool nights. Harvested by hand, carefully aged for 18 months in oak barrels and matured for 6 months on the fine yeast.

Ripe fruit with exotic notes of coconut, pineapple and caramel. Very creamy, playful with a lively texture. Pleasant from the very first sip, fills the palate. Beautifully balanced with a powerful and long finish. The harmonious use of wood is perfect and lingers with a delicate fruity sweetness. A round and soft top wine.

Great storage potential of at least 10-15 years. Goes well with savoury food, poultry or a cheese platter.
