Weingut Ernst Triebaumer Blaufränkisch Gemärk 2018

The Triebaumers have a special knack for Blaufränkisch and you can clearly taste it in this red wine from the Gemärk vineyard in Rust. Unconventionally matured in used wooden barrels, spontaneously fermented, not filtered and as traditional as the winery itself, this is pure Blaufränkisch.

The wine is just waiting to be drunk. During a tasting in their cellar, a representative sour cherry aroma and easy drinkability inspired us. It glided juicy over the palate, showing a slightly roasted note with ethereal spice. Looks elegant without wanting to show off and really packs a punch when drinking. However, the wine can still be stored for up to 10 years.

Pairs well with beef and duck, or autumnal dishes such as stewed pumpkin and grilled vegetables. Yet perfect for any time of year if you fancy an honest and classy bottle.
