Rippon Sauvignon Blanc 2020, 0,75 L

Rippon is one of the best wineries in New Zealand and this very high-quality, elegant Sauvignon Blanc shows very precisely why. It's certainly not a wine for beginners, but rather for advanced wine lovers who are looking for (and will find) depth, elegance and complexity.

The organically grown vines come from a single vineyard with high shale content on Lake Wanaka in the Central Otago area. Matured in old French wooden barrels then steel tanks, and stored on the fine lees for 47 days.

Very mineral on the nose and palate, extremely strong and complex. Reminiscent of tomato plants paired with olives and peach. Clear rhubarb in the finish carried by stony minerality to the enormous length. Always very focused and never playful, and such a delight that you want to bite into it.
