Description
Ribolla Gialla is an ancient, white autochthonous grape that has been cultivated in the Friuli region of Italy since the 13th century. It had almost been forgotten until it was rediscovered around 20 years ago. Since then, it has been enjoying increasing popularity.
Puiatti know better than anyone else how to bring out the best aspects of the grape. They leave perfectly ripened grapes to age in the classic way in steel tanks and then stored them on the fine lees for a few months.
This wine is a true expression of the grape. It's fresh and rich with notes of green apple, gooseberry and subtle sage. It's fresh, mineral, dry and light on the palate, and every sip reminds you of sunny summer holidays. The finish is harmonious, medium-long and very enjoyable.
Wonderful with fish and pasta dishes - amore mio!
