Miros de Ribera Ribera del Duero D.O. Crianza 2018 Magnum, 1,50 L

When you hear "Crianza," you might not expect a wine as monumental as this Ribera del Duero. Yet, it's precisely in this region that wines burst with robustness, even at the "small" Crianza level matured for 18 months in barrels.

Harvested at 920 meters above sea level in small 15kg crates, the grapes undergo sorting and destemming before a gentle crush. Long fermentation under cool conditions ensures optimal extraction of colour and tannins.

The 2018 vintage beckons with each glance into the glass. Deep and dark, it immediately announces its power. The balanced nose is rich with fruity aromas of raspberry and pronounced notes of blueberries, complemented by nuances of vanilla, coffee, and subtle wood flavours. Surprisingly fresh on the palate yet intensely robust, it boasts ripe tannins and lively acidity that impart a refreshing edge. This is a wine that combines power with drinkability, a hallmark of Ribera del Duero. While still evolving, it already offers plenty of enjoyment with aeration.
