Introducing a new creation from Alfred Moritz in Central Burgenland: NIX, a 100% Zweigelt from the Gfanger vineyard, first hand-picked in 2020 and limited to just 600 bottles (from two used barrique barrels). The name NIX signifies that this is pure red wine art, crafted without additional agents, machines, fining, or sulphur—only the purest manual labour in its perfect form. This is the essence of pure Zweigelt.

Like all of Alfred Moritz's wines, NIX is organically grown and meticulously hand-harvested. Delicate cherry aromas, with a hint of roasted flavour, greet the nose. On the palate, it is juicy, clean, and fruit-dominated, featuring typical Zweigelt flavours of cherries and light berries, complemented by herbs and a subtle touch of vanilla. The wine glides smoothly down the palate, boasting good length and a harmonious finish.
