Liberty by La Barroche represents a collaboration between Julien Barrot, winemaker at Domaine La Barroche, and his friend Yannic Alliaud, who owns old vineyards near Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne. For Alliaud, this project marks his first foray into producing wine from these esteemed terroirs, combining his vineyard's potential with Barrot's world-class winemaking expertise in the southern Rhône region.

From the moment we tasted it, Liberty captivated us with its youthful vibrancy and exceptional fruit expression, standing tall among top-tier wines in its price category. Some Châteauneuf-du-Pape counterparts seem aged by comparison, making Liberty a prime choice for those exploring robust Rhône wines.

In the glass, Liberty presents a dark, dense appearance, typical of the region. It exudes aromas synonymous with southern Rhône wines: abundant fruit, blackberry, floral hints of violets, spices, and a distinct minerality. On the palate, it is concentrated, juicy, and tightly structured. Ripe tannins are seamlessly integrated, complemented by spicy herbal flavours that lend elegance, minerality, and intensity. The long, spirited finish invites another sip without hesitation.
