Weingut Kracher TBA No. 6 Welschriesling 2019, 0,38 L

This Trockenbeerenauslese with the number 6 from the 2019 vintage, Gerhard Kracher once again shows his prowess as one of the best sweet wine makers in the world. The international wine critic James Suckling has awarded it 99 out of 100 points and ratings by Falstaff and Parker are their upper limits as well.

No. 6 is made from 100% Welschriesling grapes which is particularly suitable for Trockenbeerenauslese wines in the Neusiedlersee wine-growing region. 235g of residual sugar and a crisp acidity result in an almost perfect symbiosis after 28 months of ageing in steel tanks.

Pale golden yellow in colour with a nose of ripe tropical fruit, candied oranges and a delicate nutty touch. Complex, very dense and creamy on the palate. Honey blossom, peaches paired with a salty touch lead into the almost infinitely long finish. The acidity buffers the sweetness very well and ensures a harmonious work of art.

It is now at the very beginning of its long journey for enjoyment and has excellent ageing potentials of 25 years and often more!
