Description
"Popcorn" - an unusual name for a natural white wine which is accessible and invigorating. A clean wine skilfully produced by Herbert Zillinger. And the wine does indeed bring popcorn to mind...
The cuvée of Pinot Blanc, Grüner Veltliner and a lttle Welschriesling was fermented in steel tanks after a short maceration period. It was matured in a reductive method and bottled unfiltered and without any further refinements.
Slightly cloudy straw yellow in the glass, very inviting on the palate with a pleasant mouthfeel. Yellow fruits, hazelnuts, crisp acidity and nuances of herbs accompany the wine until the next sip. Extra dry but still fruity and easy to drink. Even those who are not fans of natural wines will enjoy this one.
A fantastic wine for the price. Pairs well with pizza & pasta and a great wine to start a party.
