Description
Just what a Blaufränkisch from Central Burgenland should taste like! With this "basic" wine, Albert Gesellman shows why he is at the top of his game and one of the best winemakers in Austria.
The organic Blaufränkisch vines are cultivated on heavy clay soils in the best Deutschkreutz vineyards. Then harvested by hand and matured for 11 months in large wooden barrels. Now it presents as spicy and savoury with notes of fresh cherry. Typical of the varietal, it is warm on the palate and perfectly harmonious on the finish.
A wine that will find many fans and can be stored for up to 5 years.
Pairs well with versatile dishes such as spicy meat dishes and hearty home-cooked fare. Also a fantastic wine to enjoy with friends.
