Description

If anyone understands the St. Laurent grape varietal and how best to treat it, then that man is surely Gerhard Pittnauer. This local, Burgundian red variety is sensitive and places high demands on the winemaker. Talent, passion and understanding are required.

The still young, warm 2017 vintage suits this St. Laurent particularly well. Subtle herbal spices harmonise perfectly with cool tones and juicy figs. A highly valued and varietal-representative wine from the Parndorfer Platte. Juicy, elegant and with a slightly nutty finish, but without being overwhelming.

Pairs wonderfully with spicy dishes and as a red accompaniment to a snack. Also great as a white wine substitute for grilled fish. TIP: Better drink it a little cooler than too warm!
