Description

The Achleiten vineyard is a legendary location in Weißenkirchen with dry stone walls that date back to the 12th century.

The Grüner Veltliner that grows there is just as impressive. Only the best, carefully selected grapes are harvested at the end of October to make this wine. After spending a few months in steel tanks and then in large wooden barrels, it is finally ready to drink. But it has excellent ageing potential and will develop its full character in 10 to 15 years.

Justifiably high ratings from most wine critics. Intense scent of vineyard peach with fresh herbs. Slightly smoky minerality on the palate with a touch of exoticism. Perfect balance of fresh acidity with enormously elegant density. The exquisite quality is evident in every sip from he beginning right through to the long, pleasant finish.

Pairs well with Asian cuisine, pigeon and mature cheeses. A great wine to enjoy by the glass while relaxing at the weekend.
