The Rieder Martinsberg vineyard on the Leitha Mountains in Burgenland features slate and limestone soils. This truly elegant wine from the fantastic 2021 vintage ideally represents this unique region.

Hand-picked, naturally fermented and matured in 500-litre oak barrels. After 12 months of ageing on the fine lees, the wine was bottled without the addition of fining agents and is at the beginning of its long life.

After allowing it to breathe in the glass, you get a lot of wine on the nose. Ripe pears, flint, delicate roasted aromas and mandarins. Very clear and dry on the palate. Light notes of stone fruit. Builds up the pressure into the long, cosy finish. Beautiful tannins paired with lively acidity.

A great wine that was rightly given a 95-point rating.
Pairs well with white meat and pasta with creamy sauces.
