Description

The dry, young 2021 Kalk & Lehm Chardonnay is the first vintage and made with grapes from the Leitha Mountains by Weingut Erbhof Bayer. The grapes are grown in several vineyards around Donnerskirchen, where the soils consist of shell limestone and loam. And it is no longer a secret that Chardonnay thrives particularly well in the Leitha Mountains. The Bayer family, in turn, is known for honest, very juicy, easy-drinking wines, which is also well expressed here.

This is a typical Chardonnay varietal - a fragrant aroma flows on the nose, ripe tropical fruit on the palate. Balanced and very juicy. The fresh, lively and pleasant acidity makes it very light and ends with a delicately salty aftertaste.

A versatile genius and a true crowd pleaser.
Pairs well with roast meat, poultry and hearty pasta dishes. Also great with processed cheese and cheese spreads.
