Description
If you like elegant, almost feminine red wines, then this spectacular bottle is the right choice. Fritz Wieninger is known for his delicate hand with the Burgundy varietals and it's not for nothing that he's regularly counted among the best winemakers in Austria in his category. Plus, organic is a priority for Wieninger.
After 18 months in barrique barrels (25% of which were new barrels), the wine was bottled without fining or filtration. Despite its youth and great storage potential, it's already ready to drink. On the nose, there's delicate nougat, wild berries and cherries. At first, it's silky soft on the palate, then shows a lot of pressure and well-integrated tannins. There's pleasant sweetness in the long-lasting finish. It's delicate and yet so complex that you discover new nuances with every sip.
A wine made for autumn and winter. A dream to enjoy in front of a crackling fireplace or with roast lamb.
