The best vineyard in Rust, Mariental, has barren, calcareous soils on an eastern slope, on which vines up to 70 years old grow. Neusiedlersee has a special, microclimate due to the double irradiation of the morning sun through the reflection off the surface of the lake. This extremely expressive, intense Blaufränkisch thrives here. The conscious and sensible use of geographical advantages produces unique and long-lasting characterful wines.
