The 2016 vintage of this St. Laurent earned the prestigious Falstaff award—a rare and remarkable achievement for this grape variety. The latest top vintage, 2021, reaffirms that some of Carnuntum's finest red wines originate from exceptional vineyards like the renowned Altenberg.

Aged for 14 months in barriques (20% new), this dry red wine, while still youthful, already reveals its full potential. It’s a wine built to age, showcasing remarkable power, vibrant juiciness, deep fruit, and impeccable structure. On the palate, expect ripe plums and marinated cherries complemented by delicate hints of nougat. Sweetly extracted yet refined, each sip leaves a long, elegant finish. A stellar representation of St. Laurent at its finest.
