Torre Zambra's Colle Maggio can definitely be described as the winery's flagship wine. A fabulous wine at an affordable price, it leaves you with the impression of hitting above its weight.

Typical for Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, the wine appears very dark and potent in the glass. Typical dark red fruit on the nose which harmonises wonderfully with the delicate woody spice and tempts you to take the first sip. Wonderfully juicy and dense on the palate - a very full mouth-feel. Red berries, a little vanilla, a hint of coffee and crumbly tannins. This is the textbook example of a great Montepulciano. A very flattering, warm finish - a wine you can fall in love with. At this price, a wine of this calibre is certainly a surprise. Perfect with a barbecue in summer and by the fire in winter.
