Description
In 2018, this was one of our accidental discoveries from the south of Italy. And it comes in at such a great price! In May, we were invited to a party in the Magdas Hotel in Vienna. There we met the classy Sicilian Chiara. During a wine tasting, we were particularly impressed by one of her wines from the Sibiliana winery.
The Eughenes Syrah Nero d'Avola 2016 is a thoroughbred, red southern Italian, which impressed us from the first sip. The sun and the volcanic rock have shaped this cuvèe made from Syrah and the Nero d'Avola autochthonous grape varietal. The smell of fully ripe, red berries with a light vanilla aroma fills the nose. It's very juicy on the palate, sip by sip. Chocolate paired with fine fruit sweetness puts a smile on your face. After a second strong sip, the desire for more is awakened.
Perfect with juicy burgers for the BBQ season, but also great with pizza & pasta.
