Description
This Weissburgunder used to be labelled "Steirische Klassik" and has been a Südsteiermark DAC since 2019. The grape skilfully reflects this beautiful wine region. After the harvesting from various vineyards with weathered soils, the wine developed on the fine lees in steel tanks for six months.
It's crisp and fresh with an easy-drinking mouthfeel. A yeasty fruit scent with typical almond aromas fills the air. Quite clear mineral notes, firm and juicy in the mouth, lively, very fine acidity, hearty and dense on the palate. A young wine that's easy to drink now, but could also mature for a few more years.
Perfect with traditional fried chicken or a Styrian snack.
