Brunello di Montalcino regularly tops lists of the best wines in the world. There are years when the critics heap on the praise, rightly we think. Once you have learned to love Brunello, it is difficult to move away from it.

Corte Pavone, Brunello die Montalcino 2016 - for some this is a top vintage and a fantastic wine. The vineyards are located at almost 600 metres above sea level and are among the highest in Tuscany. Warm days, cool nights and a mineral, loamy soil create perfect conditions for Sangiovese.

The wine matures for several years in barriques and large wooden barrels. Accordingly, it becomes more powerful.

On the nose, we find typical sour cherries, cherries and forest berry aromas, accompanied by a little vanilla and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, there are a lot of red berry aromas, super integrated wood and extremely fine, but prominent tannins, along with hints of minerality and a super juicy acidity that demands the next sip.

This wine explains why Brunello is loved by so many wine lovers. It is without question a first-class wine and we recommend it without hesitation.
