From winemaker to entrepreneur of the year - Leo Hillinger is a phenomenon and a true marketing genius. No matter how you twist and turn it, great respect for his achievements in Austrian viticulture is inevitable!

With a cultivation area of around 70 hectares in Austria, the Hillinger winery is one of the largest producers of top-quality wine. Since Leo took over his father's small wine trade in 1990, he developed the business into an Austrian model business through intelligent structural reforms and acquisitions of good locations around Jois and Rust. His commitment “with heart and soul” has been rewarded in several ways.

Leo Hillinger made his dream come true in 2004, building a modern building in Jois, thereby breaking new ground. This paved the way for the production of top-quality wines, and he positions them in various branded channels, from grocery stores to gourmet and star-rated restaurants. All correspond to the Hillinger quality philosophy and do not shy away from international tastings - this is what often sets Leo's wines apart from other well-known wine brands.

The winery has been using organic viticulture since 2010, showing that size does not have to be in conflict with sustainability.

Consistent quality thinking and constant marketing efforts lead to success and have been confirmed by international awards. "The perfect fruit should be unchanged in the bottle" - that is Leo Hillinger's credo.
