1st place from Falstaff in the Blaufränksich category with the 2018 vintage. A fabulous 98 points!
Reihburg is probably one of the most famous vineyards in southern Burgenland. And in 2017, Thomas Kopfensteiner showed what a great knack he has for growing Blaufränkisch.
This wine needed a good 18 months in barrique barrels. Now it's showing its size and flashes of its full potential. Cool, with a pronounced nose of ripe blackberries and black elderberries. On the palate, it's dry, compact and complex. The dark, typical minerality of the Eisenberg is noticeable in every sip and distinguishes this wine. With the wood already well integrated, it glides down slowly and very benevolently. An enormous potential of 15 years storage and more!
