Description
This red wine is the new flagship at Weingut Günter + Regina Triebaumer in Rust. Blaufränkisch is one of the core competencies of the winery and so we weren't surprised that this wine was awarded 5 stars and gold by Vinaria. Additionally, it has twice received 95 points from Falstaff and A la Carte.
After a good 2 years in 300l oak barrels (about 30% of which are new barrels), the long journey of this fleshy, spicy red wine begins. Cherries, black tea, cinnamon and fine wood aromas delight on the nose. There's lots of pressure on the palate. Dry, dense with persistent fruit dominance. Vibrates pleasantly into an immensely long, warm finish and has a storage potential of at least 10-15 years.
