Ferré I Catasús Winery

It all began in 1935 when Lluis Ferré Pascual, scion of a winemaking family, secretly married Maria Catasús Doménech. The families were not particularly happy about the wedding, especially the family of Lluis Ferré Pascual, who then disinherited him. Born out of this daring relationship, their son Josep Mª Ferré became a successful businessman and acquired a restaurant and several hectares of vineyards in Penedès, which his ancestors had previously worked. Today, the grandchildren and their families cultivate around 46 hectares in Alt and Paix Penedès and produce wonderful cavas, as well as fresh white wines and deep red wines with a pronounced terroir character.
