The Valmur Grand Cru, situated in the heart of Chablis, is renowned as one of the premier sites that best showcases the essence of Chardonnay. Alongside its esteemed neighbours, Le Clos and Vaudésir, Valmur is celebrated not only for its exceptional ageing potential but also for its racy yet elegant wines that epitomize Chablis.

This Grand Cru is a notably delicate Chablis, subtle rather than loud, and requires some time and air to fully reveal its complex character. Once it has warmed up, it offers an incredibly exciting flavour profile. In a Burgundy glass, the minerality is immediately noticeable but remains understated, complemented by delicate nutty notes, exotic hints, and a touch of honey. This is a refined Chablis that unfolds slowly, inviting exploration.

On the palate, the chalky minerality reappears with notable pressure, while the balanced acidity caresses the palate, leaving a lingering citrus fruit note in the long finish. This is a wine that demands attention and is not suited for a casual day; rather, it is subtly captivating and impressive.
