It all began with Gagliole from the namesake winery—this was the first wine that truly captivated us, a tasting experience that, quite frankly, knocked our socks off. Since then, the winery has evolved consistently, becoming one of Tuscany's finest. Following its organic conversion with the 2019 vintage and the construction of a new facility, Gagliole has undoubtedly cemented its place as a top-tier winery in the region.

Gagliole is the estate’s flagship, embodying the style and aspirations of the dedicated team led by the Bär family. The visit by James Suckling, one of the world’s most renowned wine critics, in 2022 was no coincidence; it affirmed the winery’s esteemed reputation. The 95 points awarded to Gagliole by Suckling, along with an impressive 96 points from Antonio Galloni’s Vinous magazine, speak volumes about its excellence.

Once a classic Supertuscan with a Cabernet Sauvignon blend, Gagliole has since evolved into a pure Sangiovese, aged in both barriques and large oak barrels. Few wines evoke that "drink me" allure on the nose quite like this one. Bursting with dark berries, minerality, refined spices, and subtle herbal notes, it’s wonderfully complex. On the palate, it’s taut and powerful, with vibrant acidity and a compelling intensity that makes your mouth water and leaves you eager for the next sip.
