Azienda Agricola Gagliole Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2018, 0,75 L

We have been waiting for this wine, honestly! Gagliole produces great wines on a world-class level, but they are not cheap. The Chianti Classico Rubiolo is one of the best in its category every year, but the jump to the Gran Selezione "Gallule" above it was always very big and this is exactly the gap that the Chianti Classico Riserva now fills. A great red wine that delighted us from the first sip. Pure Sangiovese with great fruit and lively acidity, plus great integrated wood and fresh acidity. Wonderfully balanced, elegant, but also powerful. The tannins are ripe and soft, but still present. It is at the beginning of its ripening period, but it goes perfectly with typical Tuscan cuisine like meat and pasta.

The wine should definitely be decanted for a few hours in order to unfold its full potential.
