Description

Pinotage is without a doubt South Africa's leading red varietal. A wine of this quality is a beautiful addition to any cellar.

The wine is quite powerful in the nose; there's a lot of dark fruit and some cherry, with sour cherry and a touch of prunes. Makes you want to take the first sip.

And then it's exactly how you'd imagine it. A deep, dark aroma with very fresh acidity. The word hearty comes to mind. There are also a lot of roasted notes, including chocolate and some coffee. The long maturation in barriques has had an excellent effect on this wine. Perfectly ripe tannins, great acidity and a very long finish - really great wine!
